The plan outlines establishing traffic flow in north/south directions and venue parking at Belen Middle School. It also includes creating secondary roadways and intersecting roadways for improved traffic management. The process of implementing the plan involves using TNG technology. Despite challenges, the staff gained knowledge in agent-based modeling, lesson planning, and managing car movement. Bibliography includes resources from Starlogo website.

Traffic Backup On I-25 Belen Middle School Susan Kemp, Kenda Meathenia, Robert Kemp
The Plan • TNG Technology • Establish Traffic Flow In North/South Directions (Right/Left, Left/Right, x-axis) • Establish Venue Parking • Establish Venue Connections • Establish Secondary Roadway (Top/Bottom, Bottom/Top, y-axis) • Establish Intersecting Roadways
What Really Happened • Still Used TNG • Found That The Examples Shown In TNG Were Not Always Helpful • Found Out Every Step Had Many Sub-Steps To Make Something Happen • Never Got Off Step 1 • All Instructional Staff Had An Exact Understanding Of Our Problems (Been There, Seen That, Had To Correct That Line Of Thinking Before)
Things To Remember • 1 Mouse Divided By Two People Doesn’t Get The Job Done • Staring At The Screen Doesn’t Make The Task Go Away. When You Don’t Know, Ask. When You Don’t Understand, Ask Again. • Realize That Your Head Will Not Explode No Matter How Much Information Is Thrown At You
What Did We Get Done? • Refined Our Way Of Thinking • Learned Beginning Steps Of Agent Based Modeling • Gained Knowledge To Base Lesson Planning Upon • Got Cars, Made Them Move (In two Directions) • Made Them Go Different Speeds
