What Is Swimmer's Shoulder and How Is It Treated? Swimmer shoulder is a very common problem in day-to day life as swimmer shoulder involves a tendon, the tissue that connects muscle to bone. The tendon of the shoulder is inflamed and gets swollen, pressing on nearby bones, muscles and other tendons. Swimmers shoulder is also known as shoulder impingement, sub-acromial impingement or acromial arch.
