  2. DENTISTRY • Also known as dental and oral medicine • Branch of medicine that consist of the study ,diagnosis,prevention and treatment of diseases, disorders and conditions of the oral cavity.

  3. TYPES OF DENTAL TREATMENTS • BRIDGES • CROWNS • FILLING • ROOT CANAL TREATMENT • WISDOM TOOTH REMOVAL • DENTAL IMPLANTS • TEETH WHITENING

  4. BRIDGES • It is a fixed replacement for a missing tooth or teeth. • Made by taking an impression of the surrounding teeth which will eventually support the bridge. • Usually created from the precious metal or porcelain and will fixed in your mouth.

  5. CROWNS • It is a type of cap that completely covers a real tooth. • Made from either metal or porcelain and metal and is fixed in your mouth. • Fitted where a tooth has broken , decayed or been damaged. • Old teeth will be drilled down

  6. FILLINGS • Used to repair a hole in a tooth caused by delay. • Most common type of filling is an amalgam, made from a mixture of metals, including mercury,silver,tin , copper and zinc.

  7. ROOT CANAL TREATMENT • Also called endodontics • Tackles infection at the centre of a tooth. • Blood or nerve supply of the tooth has become infected, infection will spread.

  8. WISDOM TOOTH REMOVAL • Wisdom teeth grew at the back of the gum • Total 4 wisdom teeth

  10. TEETH WHITENING • Involves bleaching your teeth to make them a lighter colour. • It is a cosmetic treatment and available privately.

  11. INVISALIGN TREATMENT • Process of wearing a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth. • More convenient and comfortable
