Dr. Todd Berland was the first vascular surgeon in the world to create a percutaneous arteriovenous fistula for dialysis access using a 4fr system via the radial artery and radial vein. He then went on to present this at LINC in Leipzig, Germany in January of 2017 and just presented the 6 month follow up data on April 7th, 2017 at VAS (Vascular Access Society) in Slovenia where it was awarded "Best Abstract" at that meeting. He will be the National Principal investigator for the study evaluating this device in the US pending final FDA approval.
