Arena The event center will be at the SARIKAMIŞ Ski Center. 42°10″ and 44°49″E 39°22″ and 41°37″ N
Punching and Controls • Same two SI-chips are used in all races. • Both SI-chips in the same arm • Controls are located on the side of the track, equipped with control flag and SI Air+ -station. The manual punch is as a back up attached to the pole (See photo). The track team places the controls on the right side of the track, looked from the most likely direction of approach • SI-air working range is approx 30 cm, punching time 150 ms. Ensure adequate punching time and control correct punching recording • The SIACs will blink 10 sec. When blinking they do not register a new punching • Do it touch-free! Do not grab the pole to stop you! Do not lean on the control poles or bump in to them!!! Do not hit the flag or the station!!
Tracks • Very wide track > 3 m = 11,5 km • Wide track 1.5 - 3 m = 11,0 km • Wide Track, 0.8-1.3 m = 49,0 km • Track, slow 0.8-1 m = 0,1 km • Total length of the track system =71,3 km
Military Area, Fences and Walls • Parts of thecourseswill go into militaryarea. Inspite of the ”No EntrySigns” – competitorsareallowed to enterthemilitaryareaduringthecompetitiondays • Areasmarked in themap as forbiddenare ”StricktlyForbidden”. Thisappliesalsogoing outside of themap. Therearearmedguardsthatwill stop and detainanytrespassersdetected. • Militaryarea (inside fences) hasmilitarytrainingstructuresthatareunderthesnow and maybedangerous. Keepthismindifplanning to doshortcuts • Fences, marked as ”ImpassableFence” and ”Walls” arenotallowed to surmount. Thisalsoapplies to ”BarbedWire” fences. Therearemarkedgates in thefencesthatthecompetitorsarealloweduse.
GPS-tracking and Livestreaming • 80+ participants of ESOC will be selected for GPS tracking. Selected runners will be indicated in the start lists. GPS devices will be distributed in the pre-start area and will be attached onto mapholders in the back. • GPS devices will be collected after the finish of each competition. • Live services of the event include live tracking from the each competition. GPS tracking broadcasts will be available with some regulatory restrictions during the competition. Full versions of GPS broadcasts will be accessible after each race from the event web sites. StartDraw, StartLists and NumberBibs • StartDrawwillbedone as soon as possibleaftertheEntry deadline at 15:00 hrs on thedayprior to therace. • StartListswillbeuploaded to theeventwebpagehttp://www.esoc2019.net as soon as theyareready and by 20:00 hrs at thelatest. Thestartlistwillbeplaced in theeventoffice country box • NumberBibs (vests) willbeused in allraces and collected in thefinish. • No legbibsareused • NumberBibs for theteamswillbeavailable at theArenaEntrance as of 08:30 hrsonwards on Sunday and 07:30 hrs on Monday.
Anti-Doping • Doping is strictly forbidden: “think positive - test negative”. Doping tests will be conducted. • Doping is strictly forbidden, and the organizers of these championships are dedicated to supporting anti-doping authorities in their work. Doping controls may be carried out any time during the competition period as some sites for the doping controls may be few minutes drive away, we suggest the athletes are prepared at all events to take along some dry clothes to change into after their race. • Doping tests are always carried out in accordance with the procedures described in the WADA International Standard of Testing. The IOF Anti-Doping Code and rules apply as of 1st February 2010. • Athletes who are selected for the doping tests must bring and presentan official identification (with photo) to the doping control station. The athletes should bring along their therapeutic use exemption (TUE) if applicable. The athletes shall brıng wıth them theır accredıtatıon card and an offıcıal ID (passport or formal ID card) to all the competitions and events. • Should you have any question regarding doping testing, please contact the Senior Event Advisor.

Followthemarkedroute to thestart of orienteeringpoint. • Loops + Mapchange • 3 loops and 2 mapchanges on bothclasses. • Maps on poles on therighthand side markedwithnumbers in decreasingorder. Firstmen (155->101), and thenwomen (45->1) • Skichangearea on thearena, just beforethemapchange, on theleft side.

Notbefore! • Maps are folded and stapled to thepolesline on theleft, team number abovethemap, numbers in decreasing order. Women first (50->31) and thenmen (30->1). Always take theuppermostmap!Checkyourmapcarefullythat it is yours. • Afterfinishingyourleg, movedirectlyfloowingthemarkedroutethroughFinishPunching to SI-readingtent. • Firstlegrunnersareescorted to theQuarantine Area/Tents. Quarantinekeptuntilthethreebestteams on bothclasseshavestarted to thelastleg. Donotleavethearea!
