  4. ECAP: (Education Career Action Plan) • Your plan for what you are going to do with your life once you graduate high school • Through ECAP – you can take career assessments, find out about educational opportunities, and make a plan How do I find out about what I want to do?

  5. 70% of all jobs require some education or technical training beyond high school • Workers will change jobs 6 to 7 times during their normal working lives • Many technical and office occupations now require a post-secondary degree as more employers prefer to hire trained personnel than provide training DID YOU KNOW?

  6. what CAN YOU BE DOING NOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR FUTURE? Talk to your parents, your teachers, your friends, your counselors about your plan after graduation. What do you need to do in the next 2 years to make this plan happen? Utilize conference period and after school tutoring resources to help achieve academic success. Prepare for the ASVAB November 12th or November 26th ; PSAT October 30 (if you signed up) Join a club on campus and/or connect with organizations that offer community service to teens. Talk to representatives from colleges and military that visit IRHS. Find them in the Library, outside the cafeteria and in the Counseling Office! Get involved through the JTED program! • Around 70 different programs are available to students in various areas including: Medical, Cosmetology, Early Childhood Education, Fire Service, Animation, Construction Technologies, Vet Science • Visit www.pimajted.orgto see complete list or come see Mr. McGann in Counseling for more information JTED PROGRAMS
