WK 13 - How to Prepare Ecological Data Sets for Effective Analysis and Sharing Closing August 1st, 2010
Workshop Goal Provide guidance on fundamental data management practices that investigators should perform during the course of data collection to improve the usability of data sets • By yourself • By collaborators • By people outside your project • By following the practices taught in this workshop, your data will be less prone to error, more efficiently structured for analysis, and more readily understandable for any future questions that they might help address.
Workshop Assessment • Many took the DataONE baseline data management survey before the workshop • In a week, I’ll ask you to re-take the survey • We’ll conduct a before and after evaluation
For additional help • Visit ORNL DAAC and NBII booths during the week • Viv at USGS NBII booth #115 • Tammy and Suresh at NASA booth #613 • Contact Workshop Team • Workshop presentations are on-line http://daac.ornl.gov/ESA_Workshops_2010/ESA2010_WK-13.shtml
