  2. -bio- The root –bio-is taken from bios, the Greek word for “life”

  3. -viv- The root –viv- is taken from vivere, a Latin word meaning “to live”

  6. 2. biopsy- noun 1. Ms. Brinks had to get a biopsy of her tumor in order to determine if it was cancerous. 2. After the doctor took a biopsy of the mole, he found out it was not cancer. 3. Jeremiah has a biopsy taken of his liver in order to determine whether or not he was a match to become a donor.

Because John’s strength is Math and Jane’s strength is Science, their relationship is one of symbiosis.

Although the politician strongly opposed the bill to raise taxes, he could not suggest a viable solution to the city’s economic problems.

The author wrote in such vivid details that the characters and places were almost lifelike. The child had a vivid imagination and could dream up very creative stories.
