Learn about the different types of variables in a scientific experiment. Independent Variable (IV) is the "cause" being tested, while Dependent Variable (DV) is the "effect" depending on IV. Constants/Controlled Variables (C) are kept constant to ensure accurate results. Explore how variables impact outcomes in experiments.

Independent Variable (IV) Dependent Variable (DV) The “Cause” Variable being tested “I change” The “Effect” Variable being measured “depends” on independent variable
Constants/ Controlled Variables ( C ) Any variable that is kept the same (constant) or is controlled so that it does not alter the results of the experiment.
