  2. Lapisan Session • Lapisan session bertugasuntukmembuka, merawat, mengendalikandanmelakukanterminasihubunganantarsimpulsertamelakukanpemisahan data antaraplikasi. Lapisaninimerupakantugasdarisistemoperasi (OS) yang bersangkutan. • Contohimplementasidarilapisaniniadalah : • Zone Information Protocol (ZIP). Protokoldari AppleTalk yang bertugasmengkoordinasikannama zone (name binding) • NetBIOS • NetBEUI (NetBios Extended User Interface) • NFS (network File System • SQL (Structured Query Language)
