  1. World Comparison By Sha Carter

  2. What country has the largest column? What are the reasons that you think that this country has the highest amount? The country that has the largest column is India. The reasons that I think that this country has the highest amount is because India borders lots of bodies of water. Also, since China makes lots of materials that we use today, people may move there to get materials before America does. 2. What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount? The country that has the lowest column is Moldova. The reasons that I think that this country has the lowest amount is because Moldova is smaller than Maryland. Also, because Moldova doesn’t have a large water supply. • Look at the 5th and 6th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think that they are where they are in the rankings? Use data to help you answer the question. Italy and the U.K. are both developed. I think that Italy is here in these rankings because Italy has a llot of rough, rugged mountains. I think the U.K. is here in these rankings because it’s so small and because it’s surrounded by too much water.

  3. Look at the 7th and 8th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do in order to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help you answer the question. No, they aren’t developing countries, they are both developed. I think Canada has few people because it’s really cold up north. I think Australia has few people it’s also cold, and also tropical in small areas. • Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. Moldova: Moldova has the fewest of all people on the chart. I don’t think it has a big impact on world consumption because Moldova doesn’t have a lot of people.

  4. What country has the largest column? What are the reasons that you think that this country has the highest amount? The United States has the largest column. The reasons that I think this country has the highest amount is because they consume 3.889 trillion kWh of electricity. 2. What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount? The country that has the lowest column is Madagascar. The reasons that I think this country has the lowest amount is because it’s a island and they consume 1.256 billion kWh of electricity. • Look at the 5th and 6th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think that they are where they are in the rankings? Use data to help you answer the question. Canada and Italy are developed countries. I think they are where they are in ranking because they are close in how much electricity they produce. They are only about 300 kWh away from each other, and in the graph they are only about 3,000,000 people away.

  5. Look at the 7th and 8th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do in order to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help you answer the question. These countries are one of each, Egypt is a developing country and Australia is a developed country. What I think Egypt needs to do to get to the top half rankings is to produce more electricity. Also, if they could promote the internet, more people would probably use it. • Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. Madagascar is the country that stands out to me. Out of the three graphs, Madagascar has had one bar greater than Moldova. The other two, Moldova has had the larger column. Madagascar doesn’t seem likely to have a big impact on world consumption.

  6. What country has the largest column? What are the reasons that you think that this country has the highest amount? Italy has the largest column. The reasons that I think that this country has the highest amount is because it’s a developed country. 2. What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount? Madagascar has the lowest column. The reasons that I think that this country has the lowest amount is because it’s a developing country, meaning it can’t afford to buy doctors. 3. Look at the 5th and 6th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think that they are where they are in the rankings? Use data to help you answer the question. These two countries are one of each, the U.S. is developed and Moldova is developing. I think the U.S. is where it is in rankings because it’s a lot harder to become a doctor. It takes twelve years to become a doctor. I think Moldova is where it is in rankings because it’s still a developing country, and medications have been reported as very poor. Also, technology isn’t advanced in this area.

  7. Look at the 7th and 8th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do in order to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help you answer the question. No, Canada and Brazil aren’t developing countries. I think Canada is in the bottom rankings because of how cold it is up north. I think Brazil is in the bottom rankings because the land is different in different places. • Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. The United Kingdom stands out to me. The United Kingdom is smaller than Oregon but has a little over 63 million people. Also, the United Kingdom is a developed country. I think the United Kingdom has a nice impact on world consumption. Meaning, the U.K. does make an impact, but not as big as Italy, Australia, and Egypt.
