Which of these examples embraces the spoon philosophy? • In Kate Chopin's, The Awakening, the themes of freedom and isolation are pervasive throughout the book. • Although Edna St. Vincent Millay’s poem, Spring, and Julia Alvarez’s poem, SPRING, AT LAST!, contrast each other sharply, one image stands out among the rest: the crocus.
