  2. Weil was born in Paris, France the 6th May of 1906. • Died in Princeton, New Jersey the 6th of August, 1998 at the age of 92. • For two years he taught under graduate math at Lehigh University.

  3. Education • Andre attended Lehigh University and the Institute of Advanced Study. • Received his Doctorate at the University of Paris. • He is known for his contributions in number theory and algebraic geometry.

  4. Fun Facts: • His parents were Jewish and he had a brother who went on to become a famous philosopher. • He moved to New York in 1941, leaving Nazi occupied France behind. • He was mistakenly arrested in Finland under the suspicion of being a spy.
