  1. 演講: 英文科技論文寫作與投稿English Manuscript Preparation for Technical Journal Publication 演講者：劉華光 教授 臺大光電工程學研究所 時 間：2004年 5月11日(二) 中午1:00-2:00 地 點：電機二館105室 Abstract Technical journal publication is a gateway toward academic excellence and is essential for the University to become a world class leader in higher education. The written communication represented by journal publication is a key to one’s career success. This talk will discuss the basic skills of English manuscript preparation for technical journal publication. A recent example will be provided for the illustration of publishing a paper in an archival technical journal. The Speaker Dr. Hua-Kuang Liu received his BSEE from NTU in 1963, MSEE from University of Iowa in 1965, and Ph. D. in EE from the Johns Hopkins University in 1969. He served as a Visiting Professor in the EE Department of NTU in 1981 and came back to teach again in 2002 after his retirement from Caltech and University of Alabama System. Dr. Liu has published over 200 papers and 28 US patents. He has been honored as a Fellow of the Optical Society of America and SPIE-The International Optical Engineering Society. In 1987, Dr. Liu helped founding the Photonic Society of Chinese-Americans and served as her first president and chair of the board of directors.
