Semantic Memory Semantic memory contains knowledge about facts, e.g., that rabbits are mammals, that New York is in the US, or the recipe for spaghetti napoli. In contrast to episodic memory, semantic memory is not autobiographic. We may have the above-mentioned knowledge episodic memories about when and how we learned that rabbits are mammals, New York is in the US, or the recipe of spaghetti napoli.
