  3. SCARC - General Class – November 9th, 2013 General License (2011-2015) This is a free self-study program for the FCC amateur radio service (Element 3) General license exam.  The program is based on the NCVEC General license question pool valid for the period July 1, 2011 – June 30, 2015. The General license exam is a  35–question test drawn from a pool of 456 questions. The question pool is divided into 10 sub-elements (G0–G9).  Sub-elements are subdivided into groups (topics).  There are a total of 35 topics.  One exam question will be randomly drawn from each topic to generate the 35–question license exam.  You must correctly answer a minimum of 26questions on the exam to obtain a General license.  Do NOT attempt to memorize answers to questions based on the way they appear in the question pool.  The order of the questions and the answer choices will be shuffled on the actual exam. There is no time limit on exams. The Table below shows the topics in each sub-element, the number of pool questions in each sub-element, and the number of exam questions taken from each sub-element.
