  1. The General “cram” Class • Follow the instructions on the next slide. • STUDY! and Ask Questions! (There is no such thing as a stupid question) • A lot of preparation is needed to pass this exam!!!! • The Class will be held on Saturday November 9that the Sussex EOC on Morris Turnpike (the old juvenile detention center) • The class will be only one day from 9am until TBD. It ends when it ends. Coffee and donuts will be served. • We will only go over the slides that you request. • There will be VE exams that day and on Friday November 15th at the American Legion Hall

  2. The General Class Instructions Fall of 2013 • The Plan • This class will be an on-line class. Start studying NOW! • Study slides G0A – G0B. Then review the questions and answers in slides G0. • Followed by slides G1A – G1E and questions G1 etc. • Go through the slides and study them. • If you have any questions email me. n2hmm@warwick.net • If the topic is too complicated or requires a lengthy response, then it will be addressed during the class. • The class on the 9th will only address the slides YOU are interested in or needs more explaining.

SCARC - General Class – November 9th, 2013 General License (2011-2015) This is a free self-study program for the FCC amateur radio service (Element 3) General license exam.  The program is based on the NCVEC General license question pool valid for the period July 1, 2011 – June 30, 2015. The General license exam is a  35–question test drawn from a pool of 456 questions. The question pool is divided into 10 sub-elements (G0–G9).  Sub-elements are subdivided into groups (topics).  There are a total of 35 topics.  One exam question will be randomly drawn from each topic to generate the 35–question license exam.  You must correctly answer a minimum of 26questions on the exam to obtain a General license.  Do NOT attempt to memorize answers to questions based on the way they appear in the question pool.  The order of the questions and the answer choices will be shuffled on the actual exam. There is no time limit on exams. The Table below shows the topics in each sub-element, the number of pool questions in each sub-element, and the number of exam questions taken from each sub-element.
