Brainstorming: • Write down ideas as they come to mind • No required order or format • Best done in a group • Lists: • Write down related ideas
Free writing: • Write nonstop for a set period of time (10–20 minutes). • Do not make corrections as you write. • Keep writing, even if you have to write something like, "I don't know what to write." • Write whatever comes into your mind • Do not judge or censor what you are writing.
Journaling: • Regularly write down your thoughts and experiences • Can use as support in papers • Once you come up with your ideas, you need to organize them!!!
Organize your ideas: • Outline • Writing web • Parts of a paper: • Thesis • a. main idea of paper • b. all other parts of paper support it
