Videos For ICT • ICT (Information, Communications, and Technology) is a major that emphasizes using information technology and leadership to help people, organizations, and communities become more connected and successful. • ICT professionals support the emerging goals and cultures of the people and organizations they serve • The demand for ICT skills is growing • Combining technology skills that are in demand with communication skills in PR, Advertising, and Media Communications provides an impact to employers • As an emerging field, ICT jobs generally pay well and provide leadership challenges and opportunities that contribute to a satisfying career • Questions to Answer • What is ICT? • Why major in ICT? • What opportunities and courses are available for ICT? • What does the career field after ICT look like? • Why isn’t ICT better known?

  3. What we’ve Done • We have 3 videos so far: • ICT – Explained by a Student • A look into the mind of one of Florida State Universities’ finest ICT major. Find out first hand what ICT really is from a student’s perspective. • Resources for ICT Students • This video tours the Johnston building and other areas and resources available to students majoring in ICT. • What is ICT? • This video covers what majoring in ICT entails and what benefits it has. Find out what you’re missing when you’re not majoring in ICT.

Division of work/Responsibilities • Spencer Moore • Responsible for shooting footage and finding a candidate for our first video. • Megan Hill • Responsible for producing interview questions and being interviewed for the third video. • Jamilah Walls • Responsible for ideas for videos and helping shoot footage. • Alex Anderson • Responsible for editing videos and compiling footage. • TenitaNealy • Responsible for editing videos and ideas for videos.

Who Did What • Spencer Moore • Shot first and helped shoot second video footage. • Megan Hill • Wrote out interview questions, shot the third video footage, and shot and edited update video. • Jamilah Walls • Helped shoot second video and came up with idea for video 2. • Alex Anderson • Edited footage and final videos on videos 1 and 2. • TenitaNealy • Produced ideas for videos 1 and 3 and helped edit footage.

  7. What to do better next time • Establish strong, hard timeline and follow it. • Set up interviews ahead of time and have backups for each. • Communicate thoroughly with every group member. • Set duties while establishing timeline and make sure everyone is aware of them. • I know this was already said, but keep the wiki page up to date as time progresses. • Look at past years’ videos and other videos about majors at FSU to get some ideas.
