1. T.S.Ravikumar Dr T.S.Ravikumar is currently the Director of JIPMER and Senior Professor of Surgical Oncology at JIPMER. He is Emeritus John D Mountain-endowed chair of surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine New York. He has held several posts in Harvard Medical School and was Chief of Surgical Oncology Yale University School of Medicine. He was the chair, Geisinger Health System Oncology and Director of the Center for Surgical Innovation and chief quality officer for Surgery and Interventional Procedures. He had recently been the Medical Director of NCI community cancer centers programmeand Chief Quality Officer (Surgery) in Pennsylvania, USA.

2. Goro Honda Dr Goro Honda MD Ph.D FACS is currently the Director of Department of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery, Tokyo Metropolitan Cancer and Infectious Diseases Center, Komagome Hospital, Tokyo. He has done his basic and specialized medical training in Kyoto University Hospital. He was the former Director, Dept. of Surgery, Kokura Memorial Hospital, Fukuoka. He has done his basic education from Kumamoto University School of Medicine. His main area of interest is minimally invasive HPB surgery.

3. Vishal G Shelat Dr Vishal G Shelat MS, DNB, MMed, FRCSEd,FAMS,ECOTis an Associate Consultant in HPB surgery at Tan TockSengHospital Singapore and Faculty in the Department of Surgery at National University of Singapore. He is a holder of the HesperisDiploma in Organ Transplantation from European College of Organ Transplant. He is also a faculty member of National Healthcare Group, Singapore. Pancreatic diseases and minimally invasive HPB Surgery are his areas of interest.

4. R.Surendran DrR.SurendranMS, MCh, MNAMS is currently the Senior consultant and Head, Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Surgery at MIOT Advanced Center for Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases, Chennai. He was the former Director, Professor and Head, Institute of Gastrointestinal Surgery and Liver Transplant at Government Stanley Hospital, Chennai. He is the former President of Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology(IASG). He was a member of the Governing Body of JIPMER.

5. V Sitaram DrV.SitaramMS FRCS is currently the Professor and Head, Department of Hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery at Christian Medical College, Vellore. He completed his basic medical education from Vellore and specialised training in Glasgow, U.K. He underwent Senior Training Fellowship in the Liver Unit, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, U.K. and also in the Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic and Liver, Transplantation unit of the Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong. He is currently the Professor and Head, Department of HPB Surgery, Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore. He is the secretary, of Indian Chapter of IHPBA.

6. George Kurien Dr George KurianMD, DM is currently the Professor and Head, Dept of Gastroenterology, Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Pondicherry. He is the former Head, Department of Gastrointestinal Sciences, Christian Medical College, Vellore. He has done his basic education and super-specialization from Christian Medical College, Vellore. He then spent two years at the Clinical Research Centre at Harrow, UK under Dr G.A. Asherson. He was an active leader in intiatingtransjugularliver biopsies and to set up the liver transplantation program in south India. NASH and Fatty liver are his main areas of interest.

7. SwateeHalbe Dr SwateeHalbeMD PDCC is currently the Head of Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, SRM Institute for Medical Sciences, Chennai. She was former Consultant Radiologist Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. She has done her basic education from B.J.Medical College and Sassoon General Hospitals, Pune, University of Pune and specialization from SreeChitraTirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram. Her main area of interest is Interventional Radiology.

8. Mohammed Rela Dr Mohammed RelaMS FRCS is currently working as the Head and Chief Surgeon,HPB and Liver Transplant Surgery,Global Hospitals, Chennai. He was also the Professor of Liver Surgery and Transplantation in London Bridge Hospital and Professor of Liver Surgery and Transplantation, King’s College Hospital, London. He has done his basic education from the Stanley Medical College, Chennai. His main area of interest is liver transplant and complex HPB surgeries.

9. AS Soin Dr AS Soin is currently the Chairman, Institute of Liver Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine at Medanta, Medicity, Delhi. He has done his basic surgical training at AIIMS Delhi and later trained and worked in the transplantation units in the Univeristy of Cambridge and Birmingham. DrSoin leads the transplant programme with the highest number of liver transplants annually in the country. He is a recepient of Padma Shri by the Government of India.

10. Subash Gupta Dr Subash Gupta MS FRCS is currently the Senior consultant, Liver Transplant Surgery at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. He has done his basic education from AIIMS, New Delhi. He was a Consultant in Liver Transplantation in St. James University Hospital, Leeds, UK. He also worked in Harrogate Hospital, UK. He was a Senior consultant for Liver Transplantation programme at Sir GangaramHospital, New Delhi.

11. S.K.Mathur DrS.K.MathurMS FICS FACSis currently the Senior Consultant Surgeon, HPB Surgery & Liver Transplantation at Fortis Hospitals (formerly Wockhardt Hospitals). He was the former Head of General Surgical Unit, KEM Hospital, Mumbai and Chairman, Surgical Gastroenterology Services, T.N. Medical College & B.Y.L Nair Hospital, Mumbai. He has done his basic education from GR Medical College & Associated Hospitals, Gwalior, MP. His main area of interest is portal hypertension. He is the past president of Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology (IASG).

12. PeushSahni Dr PeushSahniMS DNB Ph.D is currently the Professor and Head, Department of GI Surgery, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has done his basic education and superspecialization from AIIMS, New Delhi. He is the Past Secretary of Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology(IASG). He is the editor of National Medical Journal of India. His main area of interest is portal hypertension.

13. TarunPiplani . DrTarunPiplani DNB is working as Senior consultant in Radiology at Medanta, Medicity, Delhi. He has done his basic medical education from SN Medical College, Jodhpur and radiology training at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi where he worked as a consultant later. Liver radiology, 3D liver reconstruction and simulation radiology are his areas of interest.

14. P Rajasekhar Dr P Rajasekhar MS,DNB, PDCC, FRCs is currently the senior consultant in HPB Surgery and Transplantation at Global Hospital, Chennai and Associate Professor, MGR University, Tamilnadu. He did his basic surgical training at PGI, Chandigarh and later worked at St John’s Medical College, Bangalore and Adayar Cancer Institute, Chennai. He had been working in HPB and transplantation units at Liverpool and Cambridge in UK. Liver transplantation is his area of interest.

15. VibhaNaik Dr VibhaMilindNaikMD DNB is currently the Senior Consultant Anaesthesiologist and Intensivist, Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital, Hyderabad. She has done her basic education from B.J Medical College, Poona, Maharashtra. She was the former Consultant Anaesthesiologist, Smile-Train Project and Assistant Professor at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad. She has done her research work in University of California, Los Angeles. She has also worked in Christian Medical College, Vellore. Critical care is one of her main areas of interest.

16. PaariVijayaraghavan Dr PaariVijayaragavanMS, DNB, M.Ch, ASTS is currently the Consultant, Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Surgery at MIOT Advanced Center for Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases, Chennai. He was the former Associate Professor, department of Surgical Gastroenterology at PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and research, Coimbatore. He has done his basic education from University College of Medical Sciences and GTB Hospitals, New Delhi and super-specialization from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. His main areas of interest are liver transplantation and Management of complex bile duct injuries and strictures.

17. T.D.Yadav Dr T.D.Yadav is currently the Additional Professor of Surgery and Surgical Gastroenterology at Post graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh. He obtained his specialized training in Surgical Gastroenterology from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. He had special exposure in HPB surgery and liver transplantation at Seoul and Leeds. He was the Organizing Chairman, Fifth Certificate Course in Hepato Pancreato Biliary Surgery held in PGIMER, Chandigarh.

18. P Jagannath DrP.JagannathMS FACS FAMS FRCS is the President Elect of theInternational Hepatopancreatobiliary association(IHPBA). Currently he is the Chairman, Department of Surgical Oncology, Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre and Professor of Gastrointestinal Oncology, Asian Institute of Oncology, S.L. Raheja Hospital, Mumbai. He was the former Professor and head, Gastrointestinal Oncology, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He is the founder secretary and president of Indian Chapter of IHPBA. Served as a chairman of the 8th World Congress of IHPBA 2008. He has done his basic education from JIPMER, Pondicherry. His main areas of interest are Gall bladder and Pancreatic malignancies.

19. V K Kapoor Dr VinayKumar KapoorMS, DNB, FRCS, FACS, FACG, FICS, FAMS, FAIS is currently the Professor of Surgical Gastroenterology, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow. Hehas done his basic education from AIIMS, New Delhi. He had received “Dr BC Roy National Award" in the field of Medicine. He is the past secretary of the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology. His main areas of interest are carcinoma of Gall bladder and post cholecystectomy benign bile duct stricture.

20. AvinashSupe DrAvinashN SupeMS, FICS, DNBE, FCPS, PGDME, DHA, MHPE is working as Professor and Head, Department of Surgical Gastroenterology at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital Mumbai. He is director of GSMC-FAIMER Regional Institute.  He also co-chairs the Department of Medical Education, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. He is currently the president of the IHPBA, Indian Chapter. He has been a Consultant for curriculum development for Medical Council of India and National Board of examinations

21. S.S.Sikora Dr SadiqSikoraMS, FACS, FRCS is currently the Senior Consultant and Head of Department in Manipal Institute of Liver & Digestive Diseases, Banglore. Formerly he was additional Professor at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. He has done his basic education from AIIMS, New Delhi and superspecialization from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. His main areas of interests are Postcholecystectomy biliary injuries and Pancreatic diseases. He is currently the Secretary of the IHPBA, Indian Chapter.

22. Jagadeesh Singh DrJagadeesh Singh MD PDCC is currently a Consultant in Interventional Radiology at Asian Institute Of Gastroenterology, Hyderabad. He has done his basic education from Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC), New Delhi and specialization from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. His main areas of interest are Radiology Interventions in Pancreatic and Hepatobiliary disorders.

23. Mathew Philip Dr. Mathew Philip MD, DM, DNB is currently the Director, PVS Institute of Digestive Diseases, Kochi, Kerala. He is actively involved in various training programmes in the application and usage of endoscopic ultrasound. Therapeutic endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound are his areas of interest.

24. BiswajitDubashi Dr. BiswajitDubashi did his basic medical education from JIPMER and later speciality training in Medical Oncology at AdayarCancer Institute, Chennai. Currently he is Working as Assistant Professor , Department of Medical Oncology, Regional Cancer Centre and is in charge of the Bone Marrow Transplantation Programme at JIPMER. His areas of Interest are hematolymphoid malignancies and bone marrow transplantation.

25. DhanapathiHalanaik Dr.DhanapathiHalanaik MD is currently working as Assistant professor in the Department of Nuclear Medicine at JIPMER. He did his speciality training at AIIMS Delhi and later worked in the department of nuclear medicine there. He had been working as a consultant in PET.CT at SPECT Lab Nuclear Medicine Center at Pune before joining JIPMER. His area of interest is PET.CT imaging and radionuclide therapy.

26. R.A.Sastry DrR.A.SastryMS FRCS is currently the Senior Consultant, GI and HPB Surgery, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad. He has done his basic education from PGIMER, Chandigarh. He is the former Professor and Head, Department. of Surgical Gastroenterology, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad. He is the President, International Hepato-pancreato-biliary Association (IHPBA, India) and Past President, Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology(IASG).

27. H Ramesh Dr H RameshMS MCh FACS FRCSis currently the Director of Surgical Gastroenterology & Liver Transplantation, Lakeshore Hospital & Research Center, Cochin. Formerly he was the chief Surgeon at PVS Memorial Hospital, Cochin. He has done his basic education from PGIMER, Chandigarh. He is the Past President and past secretary of the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology(IASG). He is also the secretary of Indian Pancreas Club. His main area of interest is Pancreatic surgery.

28. ShaileshShrikhande Dr Shailesh V. Shrikhande MS MD is currently the Professor of Surgery and Head of GI and HPB Surgical Service and the Convener of GI Disease Management Group at the Tata Memorial Center in Mumbai, India. He has done his basic education from LT Medical College, Sion, Mumbai. He has received specialist training in Pancreatic Research and Pancreatic Surgery at the University of Bern, Switzerland and the University of Heidelberg, Germany.Currently he is the Chairman of Scientific Committee of Indian Chapter of IHPBA. He is also member in the Scientific Committee of International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association and member of Asia Pacific Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.

29. Thomas Alexander Dr Thomas AlexanderMD DM is currently the Senior consultant and Professor, Department of Medical Gastroenterology, Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry. He was former Senior consultant at the Holy Cross Hospital, Kottiyam, Kerala. He has done his basic education and superspecialization from the Christian Medical College, Vellore.

30. Rajneesh Singh Dr Rajneesh Singh MS, DNB, MChis currently the Additional Professor of Surgical Gastroenterology, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow. He has done his basic education and super-specialization from AIIMS, New Delhi. Pancreatic diseases is one of his area of interest.

31. ShyamaPrem DrShyamaPrem MD is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiotherapy at Regional Cancer Centre, JIPMER,Puducherry. She did her speciality training at Regional Cancer Centre, Trivandrum. She was working in the field of Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences Cochin. She was a Research Officer at Regional Cancer centreTrivandrum, before joining JIPMER.

32. C Palanivelu Dr.C.Palanivelu MS, MCh, DNB, FACS, FRCS, FICS is currently the Chairman and Director of GEM hospital and research institute, Coimbatore. He has done his basic education from Coimbatore Medical College and super-specialization from Madras Medical College, Chennai. "He had received Dr BC Roy National Award" in the field of Medicine. He has served as the President of Association of Surgeons of India(ASI). He is the Founder President of Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India(AMASI).

33. V Vaithiswaran Dr V Vaithiswaran MS, MRCS is senior consultant, Minimally Invasive Surgery at Global Hospital, Chennai. After completing his basic surgical training from JIPMER, He did his speciality training at AIIMS, Delhi. He was working as a faculty in the Department of Surgical Oncology at Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad and later in the Department of Minimally Invasive Surgery at GEM Hospital Coimbatore. Advanced laparoscopic surgery is his area of interest.

34. Arvind Krishnamurthy DrArvind Krishnamurthy is currently Additional Professor of Surgical Oncology at Adayar Cancer Institute, Chennai. He did his basic surgical training from Madras Medical College and Speciality Training from Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai where he worked later. Clinical Nutrition is one of his areas of interest apart from Head and Neck and Thoracic Oncology.
