Daniel Jose Pineiro is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) since 1998. He is also the chair-elect of the ACC Assembly of International Governors. Pineiro has participated in more than 100 national and international gatherings and symposia as a panelist, coordinator, lecturer and round table chair. He has authored and co-authored over 100 scientific articles at cardiovascular congresses and symposia. He has also headed more than 40 courses on the subject of echocardiography and clinical cardiology worldwide.

About Daniel Jose Pineiro • Daniel Jose Pineiro is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) since 1998. • He is also the chair-elect of the ACC Assembly of International Governors. • Pineiro has participated in more than 100 national and international gatherings and symposia as a panelist, coordinator, lecturer and round table chair. • Over the years, he has become a leading figure in cardiology’s global community.

Daniel Jose Pineiro – As President of the Inter-American Society of Cardiology • As President of the Inter-American Society of Cardiology, Daniel Jose Pineiro strives to expand the organization’s outreach to engage in worldwide non-communicable disease efforts. • He has participated in United Nations summits and joint programs with groups such as The Pan American Health Organization. • He has worked alongside the ACC at the World Health Assembly to ensure passage of key global targets to fight cardiovascular diseases. • He received the International Service Award by the ACC in 2014.
