  4. ALL ABOUT STEAM BOATS • The steam boat was invented in the 19th century. • Steam boat transportation along the Ohio River was one of the major factors leading Cincinnati’s population and industrial boom in the first half of the 19th century.

  5. The steamboat painting • Two steamboats the Jacob Strader and the Telegraph No. 3 appear in the lithograph. • Steamboat transportation was one of the major factors leading to Cincinnati’s population.
