Call for SRU Contributions Shoichi Kitazawa, ATR
Release date: November, 2010 • Due date: Presentations at March 2011 IG SRU meeting, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore • Contributions are requested for the IEEE802.15 IG SRU (Better Use of Spectrum Resources in WPANs) in the area of efficient spectrum use in WPANs. Of particular interest are contributions discussing any of the following (or similar) topics: • Coexistence with other systems (potential problems, future problems) • Advanced communications applications • Technologies suitable for SRU • Other issue • Scenarios or roadmap Shoichi Kitazawa, ATR
Background of this SRU IG • High traffic-load situation may be caused frequently in future in ISM band, which degrades the efficiency of the overall communications due to inter-system interference among co-existing wireless systems. • There was a proposal to start discussions of advanced technologies to enhance the efficiency of ISM band communication and reliability. • The use of DSA, the dynamic spectrum sensing technology • See related contribution https://mentor.ieee.org/802.15/dcn/10/15-10-0739-01-wng0-a-proposal-toward-better-use-of-spectrum-resources-in-future-wpan.ppt • All submission should be written in MS Words or MS PowerPoint. • Please obtain a valid IG SUR document number and upload your contribution to the document server at https://mentor.ieee.org/802.15/documents. Shoichi Kitazawa, ATR
