Background • This study responds to the request by SADC and stakeholders to undertake an HIV & AIDS impact study on the Food, Agriculture & Natural Resources (FANR) sector • 7 countries are participating in the study: Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia & Zimbabwe
Expected Impact • The main outcome will be capacity building in the SADC Health Services Coordinating Unit (HSCU) and FANR sector for the management and control of HIV & AIDS • The research will facilitate development of programmes and strategies to reduce vulnerability of people in the FANR sector to HIV & AIDS and increased support to people that are living with HIV & AIDS
