  6. This painting depicts a window opening up to a heavenly scene. The mother and the child, as the main focus of the scene, seem to be looking at the Earth from Heaven. Some may even argue that they are making a journey from Heaven to Earth. What Does it Mean? The placement of the figures in the picture resembles a triangle. Madonna and her child form the top, while the two heavenly figures form the sides and bottom. The cherubs are below looking on in awe. The triangular structure signifies the stability of, not only the mother and child, but the entire religion.
