Course Expectations • You come to class: • Prepared • Punctual (ON TIME) • Proper uniform • You take responsibility for your learning and access the teacher page regularly (missing class is not a viable excuse for incomplete work) • Seek extra help when you need it (always available for lunch time help –room 227 or 212)

Assessment • Each unit will consist of assignments/projects/labs and a unit test • Term work and unit tests = 70% • Final exam and culminating assignment = 30% • Late penalties apply for assignments handed in past a set deadline – so hand them in on time!
The most important course expectation: • Become interested in Science - if by chance you weren’t already • Some great learning opportunities include: • Diagnosing illnesses • Measuring blood pressure and heart rate • Measuring lung capacity • Researching careers in health science • Virtual knee replacement surgery • And many more……
