Interior Key Points • Stain-glass windows cover 600 square meters • 2/3 of them, currently, are still the 13th century originals • Red and Blue are the dominate colors in the windows • Each stain glass depicts a story of humanity. • Example of the Gothic Architecture
Saint Chapelle’s Trials • With stood the French Revolution that only caused the choir stalls and rood screen to be damaged • Afraid of the damage World War ll may cause, they took town all the stain-glass windows to carefully preserve them. • Survived a flood when the Seine broke its river banks in 1690 and two fires in 1630 and 1776.
