  1. ABSTRACT Anticancer Activity of Pinostrobin Compound from Temu Kunci (Kaempferia pandurata Roxb) Againts Benzo(a)pyrene-Induced Fibrosarcoma Cancer On Mice In Vivo The aim of the present study was to examined anticancer activity of pinostrobin from Temu Kunci (Kaempferia pandurata Roxb) againts benzo(a)pyrene-induced fibrosarcoma cancer on mice in vivo. Pinostrobin was isolated from Temu Kunci (Kaempferia pandurata Roxb) was tested for its in vitro anticancer, pinostrobin have cytotoxic activity on human breast cancer culture. Mice which suffer from fibrosarcoma cancer, were injected with pinostrobin at a concentration of 0,2 mg/g body weight (20 g each) and 0,4 mg/g body weight (20 g each). The growth reduced of fibrosarcoma cancer cells was verified with Hematoxilin Eosin (HE) staining and the incidences of inhibition of fibrosarcoma cancer increased compared to that of the control. The results showed that in the pinostrobin treatment group, according to the KruskalWallis test and Z test, the in vivo data were significant (p<0.05). Conclusion: pinostrobin from Temu Kunci (Kaempferia pandurata Roxb) have anticancer activity againts benzo(a)pyrene-induced fibrosarcoma cancer on mice in vivo. Keywords : Kaempferia pandurata Roxb, pinostrobin, anticancer
