Contact Probe Based Stiffness Sensing of Human Eye by Considering Contact Area Yuichi Kurita, Yoshichika Iida, Roland Kempf, and Makoto Kaneko Graduate School of Engineering, Hiroshima University, Japan Hidetoshi Tsukamoto, Eiichiro Sugimoto, Seiki Katakura, and Hiromu K Mishima Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Hiroshima University, Japan • Corneal deformation and contact area are simultaneously captured by cameras • Analytical eye stiffness is formulated based on a simple spherical eye model • Experimental results nicely match the analytical results • Measured deformation profile may contribute to estimating more precise eye pressure
