  3. Early Work and Compositions • First employed at the Friedrich-Theatre under the direction of the Kapellmeister, Hans Knappertsbusch • In December 1919, through the help of Humperdinck, Weill was appointed as Kapellmeister at the newly founded Stadttheater

  4. Jüdischen Hintergrund • Als Jude gemacht Weill ein Ziel für die Nazis • Er verließ Berlin nach Paris und schließlich London • Weills Musik war bis nach dem ZweitenWeltkrieg verboten
