Christ Jesus, The King • Ps 36:9 • In Your Light we see light! • Is 51:1 • Look to the Rock from which you were cut! • Mat 16:13-1 • Who do the people say I am? • Who do you say that I am? • I tell you, that are you ..... • I will build my church! • The gates of hell will not prevail against it. • I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven!

  3. Jesus: Me: • He is the Son of God • Mat 26:63-64 • He is the visible image of the invisible God. He represented, God, His Father well. • Col 1:15, Heb 1:3, John 14:9 • Jesus is a King • John 18:37 • I am a child of God • Adopted into His family. Eph 1:4-6 • I am being conformed into His image and likeness. I am to represent Him well. (character & nature) • Rom 8:29 • I am a prince/princess in His Kingdom. • 1 Pet 2:9-10

Me: Jesus: • Jesus came to establish His kingdom on earth. • John 18:37 • Jesus’ kingdom is from Heaven. • John 18:36, Daniel 2:31-35&44-45 • I continue to advance His kingdom on earth as His ambassador. • Mat 11:12, 2 Cor 5:20 • I need a heavenly perspective on life and live to see Heaven’s will done on earth. • Mat 6:10, 2 Cor 4:16-18

How I live here effects how I will live there one day. • Mat 16:27; Luke 6:22-23&26, Eph 6:8; Col 3:24; Rev 22:12 • I need to stand for truth and integrity at all costs. • 1 Pet 2:6-8; Mat 21:44; Mark 12:14

The tenses of the Kingdom coming in our lives: • Has come already – Luke 11:20 • Is coming at the moment – Heb 12:28-29 • Will come in fullness one day – Luke 13:29; 1 Cor. 15:24, Rev 11:15 • Linked with the Tenses of Salvation in our lives: • We have been saved – Eph 2:8 – prefect participle. • We are being saved – 1 Cor. 1:18 – present participle. • We shall be saved – Rom 5:9-10 • Justification, Sanctification, Glorification How does the kingdom of God come?

  14. 2 Peter 1:5-7 • Promise of participation in the Divine Nature (Holy Spirit & our spirit’s united) and an escape from the corruption in the world due to sinful desires (the flesh). • Faith - the Gospel of Jesus Christ • Goodness - chose good over evil • Knowledge - applied knowledge of good - bible • Self-control - knowledge not enough – fight the flesh • Perseverance - in failure and success carry on • Godliness - goodness formed in you = Christ-likeness • Brotherly Kindness – lovingly help people, not judging • Love - agape love and not eros hooks The Process of the kingdom of God coming in my life

Helps for the kingdom of God to come in our lives?
