The target audience for this medical event is physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and other healthcare practitioners interested in or currently providing diagnosis, therapy or management to patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Treatment controversies and misunderstandings often present as a result; accordingly, strategies and treatment guidelines require updates. The worsening burden of COPD calls for critical review and assessment of the different interventional ef?cacies aimed at case ?nding, diagnosing COPD, controlling COPD symptoms, preventing exacerbations and maintaining the quality of life. Continuing education of health professionals involved in the management of COPD may ?ll these existing ef?cacy practice gaps. Conference Purpose: This program will initiate practice changes in the diagnosis, therapeutics, management of COPD patients in acute to subacute environments so as to improve patient quality of life.
