  2. What as the BBC? • The BBC is the  British Broadcasting Company • The bbc was a radio station. • Their formed in October 18, 1922 • Daily broadcasting by the BBC began in Marconi’s London studio, 2LO

BBc story • John Reith was the founder of the BBC. • John was a 33-year-old Scottish engineer • Reith's idea was broadcasting to the public to be able to educate, inform and entertain the whole nation about what is going on in the world. • Within a year the radio was playing live concerts, popular music, talk shows and verities of programs • In the early days they would only come on after 7pm

  4. Radio time • Launched September 28, 1923 • The newspaper refused to have ads for BBC radio in the newspaper. • They refused to put ads in their newspaper because they were afraid if the radio got more popular then the newspaper no one would buy them.

  5. Television • The BBC operates several television channels in the UK • BBC two included children channels. • They had about 10 channels

  6. Propaganda • There were many kinds of propaganda during the Russian Revolution like leaflets, meetings, posters and film. • The most important one was the agitprop trains.

  7. Agitprop trains • The trains were painted bold with modernist designs. • These trains when all around the country trying to get people to believe in the Bolshevik mission. • On the train there were theaters, cinemas, art galleries and people who were prodigies at discussion.

  8. Interesting facts • In 1927 the British Broadcasting Company became the British Broadcasting Corporation • By 1938 By that time 98% of the country could listen in to the BBC's radio • Many famous musicians of every style have played at the BBC, such as The Beatles
