MACBETH • ACT I • The three witches let the audience know they are going to see MacBeth and tell him something important • The Thane of Cawdor has attempted, but failed, to over throw Duncan • MacBeth and Banquo have helped defeat the Thane of Cawdor’s army and save the kingdom for Duncan • The witches share three visions with MacBeth • MacBeth has a plan! • Lady MacBeth is excited by the news her husband shares with her • Duncan decides to visit MacBeth and Lady MacBeth
