CSCI 578 Project Description David Woollard
Project Goals • Use Architectural Recovery Techniques to assess discrepancies between the As-Specified Architecture and the As-Implemented Architecture of a complex software system. • Specifically, we will be looking for style violations: • up-calls • crossing 2-layer boundaries • unspecified dependencies • We are looking a Grid Systems
Intro to Grid • Scientific Software systems are computationally- and data-intensive • Grid systems are the key technology development to support scientific computing • Grid unifies different individuals, organizations, and resources into virtual organizations • Kesselman, et. al. specified a reference architecture for Grid systems
Deliverables • 4/1/2010 – Team formulation • 4/6/2010 – Recovery technique selection • 4/8/2010 – You will hear from me about your assigned Grid technologies (2) • 4/29/2010 – Project report due
