Session Musician • Session musicians are musicians who play back up instruments for professional artists • Not a lot of creative liberty • Amount of work based on talent and ability to get along with other musicians • Session musician’s salary can be anything from 20,000$ to more than 100,000$. It’s all based on how skilled you are and how in demand you are
Session MUSICIAN REQUIRMENTS • Ability to play multiple instruments suggested but not required • Must be able to get along with “co-workers” • Must be easy to get a hold of and reliable
Music Teacher • Required to have a teaching license and a bachelors degree, should have background in music be it singing or playing an instrument • Must have basic musical knowledge and have ability to plan a well ordered curriculum based around music • Usually good if you have training as a musician and want to supplement your income • The amount of money you make is all based on where you work but music teachers can start making around 30,000$ a year
Art director • Various artists may create or develop specific parts of an art piece or scene but it is the charge of a sole art director to supervise and unify the vision • The art director is in charge of the overall visual appearance and how it communicates visually, stimulates moods, contrasts features, and psychologically appeals to the target audience • One of the most difficult problems that art directors face is to translate desired moods, messages, concepts • Art Directors can expect to make about 20,000-60,000$ annually
Art director requirements • A bachelors degree is required along with a least five years of experience • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
