Seven (7) independent Provincial Associations and four (4) Regional Associations from the remaining two (2) of the nine (9) Provinces of the country, now constitute the Council. • These eleven (11) organizations have ninety (90) independent Branches. NCPPDSA STRUCTURES VOLUNTEERS IN MANAGEMENT

Services vary from one branch to another depending on the need in the community and the affordability of the service • Social work and counseling; • Community work – facilitating new projects and services; • Residential homes; • Day care centers for children; • Protective workshops; • Entrepreneurial groups; • Specialized transport; • Community care services – information services, attendantcare and support groups; • Employment placement; • Education – annual Cerebral Palsy Conference and coordination of special schools; • Motor and assistive device imports and parking disks; • Assistive device hire and repair etc. NCPPDSA constituent organizations render a range of services i.e. :

Rehabilitation workers can play an important role in facilitating the accommodation of disabled people in 'Learnerships' within the open labour market.

SAQA REGISTRATION Qualification for LIPSPEAKERS and TOTAL COMMUNICATION FACILITATORS A curriculum development workshop will be held on 7 & 8 November 2006 in Bloemfontein.
