  2. Yearly requirements • A plastic file or a slim file to file the notes in. File should be labelled and covered. • The file should be divided into a section for Notes and another for Homework. • At the end of each section, there should be 2 plastic folders.

  3. Are we evenly spread? • Population Distribution: How many people are spread out over an area. Population distribution maps show the way people are spread out across the country.

  5. Population density is the number of people in an area. It is worked out by dividing the total population by the total area. It is usually given as the number of people per square Kilometre (p/km2) Places that are crowded are said to be densely populated. Places that have few people are to be sparsely populated.   7. Population density • The most crowded areas are the cities. London, has a population density of up to 10,000 people per square kilometre in some areas. • In Malta, the most densely populated areas are those around the Harbours. This are is known as the Inner Harbour region. Towns not touching the harbours but still near to them are referred to as the Outer Harbour Region. • The towns in the Inner Harbour and the Outer Harbour form the Harbour Conurbation. • The area with the lowest population density is the countryside.
