Who is AssociationforSolidaritywiththeFreedom-DeprivedJuveniles (founded on 1999) Aim is toprovide each and every kind of assistance, supportand guidance for children and juvenile : • who are serving their sentences in closed and open confinement centers, • whoarereleased after having completed their sentences in such centers, • whoareunderprobationsystem, • for all children and juvenileconsideredunder risk.

  11. Youth Support Line • AIM OF THE PROJECT The project aims to prevent recidivism of the released juveniles with a multi-agency approach. TARGET GROUP • juvenile released from prison services, • under probation services, and who are in conflict with law in juvenile justice system • juveniles who are likely to encounter conflict with law

  12. Youth Support Line • 1. STEP • 13 months Pilot Project betweenAgt 2011-Sept 2012 in three Pilot cities. • 2. STEP • BetweenSept 2012 – Sept 2013 theprojectwill be extendedto İstanbul. • 3. STEP • BetweenSept 2013-Sept 2015 theprojectwill be extendedalloverTurkey.

  15. Youth Support Line Need Analysis WITHIN PENAL INSTITUTIONS: • 9 children and juveniles focus group discussions, • 6 personnel focus group discussions, • Interviews with 13 parents, • Individual interview with 3 children, • Individual interview with 1 personnel
