Overview of presentation • Why have an application requirement analysis - matrix • Starting point for this work • Problems encountered in populating the spreadsheet • Application documents reviewed • “header” titles for columns • Next steps Jay Bain, Fearn Consulting
Why have an application requirement analysis • Places the content of several application presentations into a single context • Helpful for expansion of application documents to address spreadsheet fields not available from original submission • Aids development of PAR/5C • Input towards requirements documents for proposal phase Jay Bain, Fearn Consulting
Starting point for this work • WG15 03/489r3 is the template – TG4a • Column titles from TG4a retained for initial BAN adaptation • Additional columns regarding specifics for medical BAN have been added Jay Bain, Fearn Consulting
Problems encountered in populating the spreadsheet • Several application documents are rich in description of critical issues such as SAR while not expanding greatly on other characteristics of the application. • Deciding how far to expand application categories was a question and the spreadsheet reflects this. Organization Application types Influence to body Regulatory – radio Regulatory – safety for human body Topology Data throughput (aggregated per cell) Data rate (per link) Duty cycle Range Coexistence resistance, multipath Channel model Power consumption Quality of service Setup time Form factor Antennas Cost Location awareness Mobility Market size/region/year … Privacy Classification of application “header” titles for columns Jay Bain, Fearn Consulting
Next steps • Work with presenters to interpret or add content • Evaluate and change column headings • Prepare summary for SG – to aid in PAR and 5C completion Jay Bain, Fearn Consulting
