Start here At http://portal.hct.ac.ae Find the flash player and click the play button
Search for students There is more than one wayto start the data entry process We have found one we all should be able to use It’s called PLAN A Start with the search button.
Copy list of student IDs Find a list of students giving their “C00(etc.)” IDs Copy this list and paste it directly from Excel into the search field.
But first …Select the correct semester Pull down to select the correct semester In October, 2016 The correct semester is 201650 – 2016 – Semester 1
Follow instructions Paste a column of IDs into the box Click Search
Did it work? Congratulations! You can use Plan A
Add comments Be sure to LEFT click on students’ names Select Add comments You can also return to this point if you need to EDIT or see comments that you submitted previously.
Add or EDIT comments You can use this view to ADD comments You can also SEE previous comments here You can delete any comment you can see You can edit any comment you yourself have entered
Adding Comments Set “Visible to” to allow viewing by Supervisor and faculty
Save comments Tick in Email Advisor Email meis optional Enter comments and SAVE
If that doesn’t work Try Plan B
PLAN B Find your term. You may have to click around in here to find codes with data in them. Mine in Oct 2016 was 201650
Find your courses Your only clues Course codes CRN codes if you know them Section numbers 1, 2, 3 … 0 for sections up to 10 After that section names are assigned a random letter
Select a section Right click to get the context menu Select Class Roster When the list appears RIGHT click on a name lets you enter comments but does not let you see or edit previous ones.
Alternatively LEFT click to select a student name Select Add Comments This allows you to EDIT your comments once already submitted
