Always Practice Correct Safety Procedures • Dress Correctly • Report any unsafe conditions to instructor IMMEDIATELY • Never use Equipment your not trained to use
If your not using the toolLEAVE IT ALONE • Get permission to use any tool or equipment • Only one student at a time use a tool • Don’t throw it away!!
Do not rely on the protective gear to keep you safe • Only use a tool for its specific purpose
At the End of Each Hour • Stay on a Dry Floor • Do not use power tools unless your instructor is present

Fire Safety • You can use a fire extinguisher to stop a small fire • Using the wrong type of fire extinguisher could KILL YOU!!!!
There are Many Types of Fire • Class A Ordinary Combustibles • Class B Flammable Liquids • Class C Flammable Gases • Class D Flammable Metals • Class Electrical • Class F Flammable Liquid (grease/oil)

Blood born Pathogens • AIDS, Hepatitis, and dozens of others • Do Not Touch • Do Not Handle
How to Handle Blood • Use Gloves • Dispose of in proper way • If serious – Fill out accident report
Safety Colors • RED – Fire • GREEN – Safety • BLUE – Out of Order
Safety Stripes • Yellow – Hazard or object in the way that cannot be moved • Yellow and Black – Show areas where operators only are allowed
Hot Glue Gun • Do not touch the tip • Use only the correct size glue stick • Do not put anything except glue in the gun
Wait until glue is completely melted before using • Glue can burn you through thin materials
Craft Knives • Craft knives • Must Be Carried With Cap On Them • Pushed Away Body • Always Use Cutting Board
