CA380: Entrepreneurship • Six workshops support creative idea generation, business panning, finance, legal issues and presentation/pitching skills • Presentation to panel of local business people • Example • web site for unsigned band • Loyalty/cash card for night clubs
CA380: Entrepreneurship • Business students contribute finance, planning, marketing, legal aspects. They are very good! • Computing students need to add some value - develop ICT product or marketing using IT, e.g. viral marketing, mobile or e-commerce, search engine optimisation
CA380: Entrepreneurship • Very valuable module for people willing to put in effort. Develop your own ideas, learn about freelancing/business start-ups • could lead onto University support via BeePurple scheme • May have a limit on numbers
