Trained, professional staff is available to guide your student through the job search process and teach them how to take the various steps with success. • A career advisor can’t “place” your student in a position. They’re on campus to teach job searching skills, connect students with potential employers, and prepare them to communicate their interests in a position with that employer through resumes, cover letters, and interview techniques. • Successful applicants relied on on-campus interviews, speaking with company representatives at career/job fairs, viewing employer information presentations, and posting their resumes on their career services web sites.
