  3. History • Adopted December 12, 1889 • Late 14th century the soldiers started to where an eblemed cross with a red base to distinguish themselves • 1814 it became the countries seal • 1848 it became the military flag

  4. Interesting facts • The Switzerland flag is square having equal length and width • The Red Cross came from the Switzerland flag in honor of the Swiss founder Henri Dunant
