TO SERVE WITH PRIDE AND DEDICATION Main wheels Brake units The 2 main wheels are equipped with a single disc hydraulic brake assembly (brake unit). Hydraulic cylinders Hydraulic reservoir Brake toe pedals Brake fluid is stored here. Pilot must check the quantity of brake fluid while carrying out external checks. The brake units are connected to individual hydraulic cylinders, which in turn are attached to and controlled by a rudder pedal (brake toe pedal) each. Pull back this handle slightly and release it forward (while aircraft is stationary) to engage parking brake.
