  5. UNIT QUESTIONS • How do people protect the environment? • Why do plants need to be reproduced?

  7. These are the CONTENT QUESTIONS: • What are the two types of pollination? • It is the process of transferring of the pollen from the stamen to pistil of the flower.

  8. Just like animals, plants produced their own kind, what do we call this process?

  9. Standards To show how important plants to all organisms living in an ecosystem including human beings.

  10. LEARNING OBJECTIVES • At the of this unit , the students will be able to: • Know the different uses of plants. • Know how do plants reproduce. • Know the different parts of the flowers.

  11. Know the importance of plants, not only to human but also to other organism. • Create a power point presentation about plants

  12. UNIT SUMMARY:

  13. Calendar Activities Week 1 Day1: ◘ Give some motivation which is about plants. ◘ Present the overview of the topic through Power Point presentation. Day2: ◘ Teacher will introduce a project plan as a requirement.

  14. Day3: ◘ The students will fill in the K-W-L Chart. This chart will provide a structure for students to think about what they know about the topic, note what they want to know and record what has been learned . Day4: ◘ The teacher will introduce and explain the PowerPoint presentation rubrics.

  15. This rubric is an explicit set of criteria used for assessing the PowerPoint Presentation. Day5: ◘ Divide the class into five groups and have a brainstorming with regards to their Requirement.

  16. Week2 : • Day1 : • ◘ The students will have an interactive quiz. • ◘ The teacher will discuss on how to make a PowerPoint presentation through Video presentation.

  17. Day2: . ◘ Students will start doing their project. The leader of the group will assign task For each member. They will be guided with project guidelines. Day3 : ◘ Encourage students to have an individual research related to their topic.

  18. Day4 : ◘ The students will be given an opportunity to do peer feedback and with Regards to the performance of each member. Day5 : ◘ As they go on with their project , the leader of the group will see to it that Doing the right thing by using a checklist.

  19. Week 3 Day1: ◘ PowerPoint presentation rubric will be presented. This will help students’ stay On track to do upon presenting the PowerPoint presentation project. Day2 and Day3 ◘ Students will finalize their project, see to it that everything will be ready for the Presentation of the project.

  20. Day4: ◘ This is the time that the student will present their output the PowerPoint Presentation in front of the class. To assess their work, the rubric will be used. Day5: ◘ After the presentation the students will write their self-assessment and their Learning.
