  2. Soil • Soil is important for your plants. • The better the soil the better chance your plants will grow healthy and strong. • There are many ways to check if your soil is well prepared before planting. • Some soil tests cost a lot of money and take a lot of time. • Here is a simple way to test your soil;

  3. Squeeze soil between your hands.If the soil is compact and then crumbles when you touch it, that soil is good for planting.

  4. Seeds When using seeds, the easiest plants to grow indoors are herbs. Herbs are used for food, decoration and even cosmetics (like perfume, lipstick, and lotions)

  5. Place seeds gently into soil.DO NOT push the seeds deep into the soil or they will not be able to breathe.

  6. Caring for you plants When watering your plants, be sure to sprinkle water on your soil. DO NOT put your pot under the sink and water it, the power from you faucet sink could push your seeds too deep into the soil or even push them out of the pot.

  7. Also, put your pot in a small bowl so the water can drain correctly through your pot.

  8. Growing • Make sure your plant is on your window sill or is some where with direct sunlight. • Don’t over water your plant. Water it to keep the soil moist. To much water will drown your plant and not enough water will dry out your seed and the soil. • Follow these steps, and in 4-6 weeks your will have beautiful herbs to enjoy.

  9. Eat and enjoy!
