About the Oyster... • Oysters are the common name for Bivalves scientifically called CrosscstreaGiges. • They are known for us eating them.. Except other kinds, such as pearl oysters, aren’t eaten by us although they are edible.
Where Does It Live?? • Oysters live mostly in salt water, but can also be found in fresh water. • They have 2 different shells made from calcium carbonate.
What and How Does it Eat?? • Oysters eat algae and plankton • How oysters eat is by filter feeding
