  3. What do we share in the European Union? • A flag • An anthem – Ode to Joy • Do you recognise this anthem? • Do you recognise this anthem?

  4. What do we share in the European Union? Europe Day – on 9 May all across the European Union, in every country of the club.

  5. We also share a motto (chant!) • Unity in Diversity • UNITY • We all want peace. • We all have the same flag • We all have the same anthem • DIVERSITY - DIFFERENT • We speak different languages • We eat different foods • We drive on different sides of the road

  7. Let’s play shop! Some of us – 19 countries – in the European Union use the Euro But not all countries use it. The UK uses the Pound Sterling. Now, let’s see if you’d like to shop in the London Toy Shop or the Paris Toy Shop.
