6. KHS Teacher Leaders Vanguard Team PLC Leaders Main responsibility is to manage the PLC groups during meetings and as products are developed. To ensure quality products by attending training for Balanced Assessment, UbD learning plan writing and attend PLC Coaching training during the summer. Products required: one instructional unit written in Ubd curriculum framework, which will be exhibited to KHS faculty, one common assessment/rubric to be used during PLC DDIPP session, and to present one “Beat Practices” strategy to KHS faculty. Meetings will be semi-monthly at group’s discretion and all PLC’s will participate in a one-day instructional unit plan writing workshop. Main Responsibility is to develop and deliver professional learning opportunities. To prepare properly, a team member must attend a summer training for Balanced Assessment, learn to develop an instructional unit in the UbD curriculum framework and attend Trainer Training. Vanguard Team members will lead workshops, manage specific learning opportunities and work with staff/faculty as needed.
